The Park is on the B3274, 2 miles north of St Austell situated in the village of Carthew between St Austell and Bugle. Google Map Link | MultiMap Link Travelling from the west on the A390 from the Truro/Falmouth direction, ignore the brown signs and turn left into the town centre just before the Restormel Council offices. Go straight across two sets of traffic lights, follow the road around a tight left hand bend, past a car park. You are now on the B3274 continue on this road and the Country Park will be on your left in the village of Carthew. If travelling from the east on the A390, from the Plymouth direction turn right onto the St Austell Distributor road the A391 following the brown signs for China Clay Museum. At the fifth roundabout, the Carluddon roundabout, turn left (straight on is Penwithick, and right is the new road for Eden). At the next roundabout, the Carthew/Singlerose roundabout, turn left. Your are now on the B3274 and the Park is two miles on the right. If travelling from the north or south on the A30 turn off at the Victoria junction, following signs for Roche. At the mini roundabout in Roche turn left, straight across the next mini roundabout and continue to the next roundabout where you take the second exit indicated by a brown sign for the China Clay Museum. The Park is two miles on the right. |

The Clay Trails are a new collection of multi-use trails for cycling, walking, horse-riding and wheelchair use, taking you straight to the Country Park and beyond. You can also use the trails to discover the surrounding 'clay country' with its' unique industrial landscape and wonderful flora and fauna.
These short, easy and mainly traffic-free signed trails connect the Country Park with Bugle, the Eden Project and St Austell, as well as local train and bus stations. You can also travel from St Austell and Bodmin to the China Clay Country Park, and beyond, by following National Route 3, part of the National Cycle Network.
