PASSION FOR PORCELAIN
Elegant charm from china clay
Friday 21 October 2016 until June 2017

An exhibition focused on the use of china clay in the manufacture of porcelain and the important role that Cornwall played in the development of British porcelain and its global trade.

Displaying items from all over the world, many loaned by Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery, the exhibition will pay tribute to the beauty of, and fascination for, porcelain. The vital role of William Cookworthy in the manufacture of true hard-paste porcelain for the first time in England will also be explored and celebrated.
