Beautiful jam jar lanterns were created before heading out around the site with the Story Republicans who delighted their audience with songs, poems and stories before returning to the café to enjoy Christmas carols, hot chocolate and delicious festive treats.
Sue Ford, Museum Manager, said ‘It was lovely seeing all of the beautiful lanterns twinkling as the procession moved around the site and listening to a very hearty rendition of Jingle Bells once all snuggled up back in the café.’
If you missed this event don’t panic. On Friday 15 December join the Wheal Martyn team for a magical Christmas evening with Badger Forest School.
Decorate a jam jar lantern and make a natural wreath or willow star before heading out around the atmospheric site at Wheal Martyn.
