We are again running our Cornwall Residents Pass offer until 31 March 2021, which enables Cornwall residents to purchase annual admission to the museum and its extensive grounds for a discounted rate of just £7.50 per adult and £5.00 per child.

By providing free return visits throughout the year, the pass enables you to escape and enjoy the interesting and unique heritage of the area and the historic site throughout the changing seasons. The grounds and woodland trails offer plenty of natural outdoor space to explore safely, alongside an indoor Discovery Centre and interactive displays.

Sue Ford, Museum Manager, said, ‘The china clay industry shaped the place we live and to help share this significant heritage, we offer our annual pass to enable more people from across Cornwall to discover more about it, as well as immersing themselves in our culture and outdoor environment, enjoying all the great health benefits that brings’.

In 2021, a new accessible route through the historic buildings will be opening, in addition to new transport displays, bringing new features for repeat visitors to enjoy with fresh eyes. China clay mining is such an important part of Cornish heritage: the industry has relevance to everyone, either through personal connection with people who worked in it or simply using products in everyday life which contain china clay mined in Cornwall.

A reindeer trail is currently in place in the woodlands until 23 December, with ten woodland crafted reindeer to spot – the ideal chance to pick up your pass while enjoying the festive season.
