Badger Forest Schools – Educational Programme at Wheal Martyn
We are now able to offer Schools the chance to take part in outdoor learning through Badger Forest School activities at Wheal Martyn. The programme of enrichment days is delivered by Claire Whalley and her team of Level 3 trained Forest School Practitioners. The enrichment days get children and their teachers out in the fresh air, sharing and learning together in the woods, whilst supporting and extending their classroom learning.
Days in the wood generally integrate the following:
• Lighting fires
• Den building
• Campfire Safety
• Food prep and campfire cooking
• Outdoor science
• Nature games
• Treasure hunts
