Badger Forest School & Outdoor Learning are hosting fun family adventures in the beautiful woodland at Wheal Martyn throughout the year. Children and families can take part in a range of exciting outdoor activities including:

• Campfire cooking
• Making masks
• Building dens for the animals who live in the woods
• Going on a mini beast hunt
• Shelter building
• Nature crafts
• Face painting

Friday 10.00am to 11.30am

5 week block from Friday 21st September to Friday 19th October (21, 28 September, 5, 12, 19 October)

£7 per session, parents should show a local resident pass/annual return ticket.

Activities in the woods at Wheal Martyn for all the family – nature crafts, autumn trails, campfire, den building, games and more.

£8 per child and £4 per adult – includes museum entry for the day.

Book through or pay on the day if spaces are available.

Badger Forest Schools – Educational Programme at Wheal Martyn

We are now able to offer Schools the chance to take part in outdoor learning through Badger Forest School activities at Wheal Martyn. The programme of enrichment days is delivered by Claire Whalley and her team of Level 3 trained Forest School Practitioners. The enrichment days get children and their teachers out in the fresh air, sharing and learning together in the woods, whilst supporting and extending their classroom learning.

Days in the wood generally integrate the following:
• Lighting fires
• Den building
• Campfire Safety
• Food prep and campfire cooking
• Outdoor science
• Nature games
• Treasure hunts
• Crafting
