Homemade and locally sourced
Our café serves delicious, locally sourced food. Our varied menu includes homemade soups, quiches, paninis, sandwiches, curry and local pasties, in addition to superb daily specials. Also serving breakfast, Cornish cream teas, afternoon tea and ice cream, there’s something for everyone!
There’s a child friendly menu with proper mini meals that they’re sure to polish off – and a child friendly area in case they finish before you. Enjoy a well-earned cuppa inside or outside; at the front of the café there’s a fantastic little sun trap, and if it’s a bit blustery, relax indoors next to the cosy wood burner.
There is no admission cost to visitors using the cafe or gift shop.
Fresh and Local Produce
Most of the food we serve comes from local suppliers, many within 20 miles of the café. Farm reared pork, fresh fruit and vegetables, Cornish cheeses, organic ice creams, Cornish Orchard’s ciders and apple juices, St. Austell and Skinner’s Ales, and guest beers from the new micro breweries in the county are just some of the ingredients we use to create good wholesome food for you to enjoy in a modern bistro setting.
There are plenty of places for a picnic at Wheal Martyn, just right if you want to relax, enjoy the nature around you and have a bite to eat. If you forget your picnic, or feel like eating in the grounds then the café sells a wide range of food that can be boxed up to take out.
