On Sunday 7 July, 9am to 10am and 5pm to 6pm, we are holding ‘Relaxed Sessions’ for those who would prefer to enjoy the museum at a quieter pace. These sessions are especially suited to people with autism, anxiety and associated conditions. Have fun with object handling, ASD-friendly activities, and trails.
We have recently developed various accessibility aids to help visitors with a variety of access requirements. A visual story is available here, providing a visual guide of what to expect at Wheal Martyn through images and words, allowing visitors to familiarise themselves with the site before their visit. There is also a designated quiet space, and sensory bags, which are specially designed for people with autism and learning difficulties.
