A new Welsh language conversation group, meeting in the café at Wheal Martyn on the first and third Tuesday of each month for a fun and social morning, speaking and practising Welsh (Cymraeg).

Cornish (Kernewek) and Welsh (Cymraeg) are sister languages - alongside Breton (Brezhoneg). They all stem from ‘Common Brittonic’ which would have been the language spoken across the majority of Britain at one point. We are excited to introduce a conversation group for another Celtic language alongside our popular Cornish language mornings.

Hosted by Kim Hopewell, this is a regular opportunity for Welsh speakers of all abilities to learn new phrases or engage in fluent conversations.
