Wheels at Wheal Martyn

Join us for our monthly Sunday social gathering of all vehicles Vintage, Classic and Prestige – the last Sunday of each month.

See our Wheels at Wheal Martyn Facebook page to get more involved in this automotive community. The gathering is hosted by Wheal Martyn Trust and run by a group of dedicated volunteer vehicle enthusiasts.

Pre-booking
We can accommodate around 170 cars and whilst booking isn’t mandatory, because we often reach capacity and are aware some people travel long distances, we now offer 60 spaces in the lower car park and museum grounds which can be reserved for a non-refundable admission fee of just £2.00 per car. This enables anyone travelling a long distance to be guaranteed a space should they wish to avoid potential disappointment. Guaranteed spaces can be booked below and are on a first come first served basis each month.

The £2.00 fee goes to support the charitable work of Wheal Martyn Trust, an Accredited Museum, preserving the heritage of Cornwall’s china clay mining industry and sharing this through community and schools engagement activity.

Arrival for pre-bookings
Access is from 9.00am and anyone pre-booking must arrive by 10.00am, after which pre-booked spaces may be reallocated. This is to ensure the limited space on site is maximised in the event of any ‘no shows’.

Those not pre-booked
There is no charge for those not pre-booking to guarantee a space but optional donations are gratefully received as they support the work of the charity, for example with many of its restoration projects.

Other information
The Café and Coffee Crib Cabin is open throughout the event and attendees at Wheels have the option of buying an annual admission pass to the museum at a reduced rate from the museum shop.
